Golf is a relatively new sport in Vietnam, and playing golf is a great way to relieve stress and maintain a balance between work and life. Currently, Vietnam has more than 400 golf courses and driving ranges to meet the growing demand of golf enthusiasts. However, not all driving ranges meet international construction standards. So, what are the solutions for building an international-standard golf driving range?

Step 1: Clearing and Stake Out

Clear the ground surface, including key areas such as tee boxes, fairways, bunker locations, and putting greens based on the pre-approved golf course design drawings. This process typically takes 3–5 days depending on the project size and site complexity.

Step 2: Cut and Fill

After clearing the land, define the areas that need to be cut (such as bunkers) and those that need to be filled (such as greens). With hundreds of completed golf driving range projects, Lưới Công Trình provides cost-efficient solutions tailored to your budget.

Step 3: Shaping the Driving Range

This is a critical step to create the best practice surface. It involves leveling, shaping different practice zones, and addressing key technical areas such as:

  • Removing large underground rocks

  • Securing embankments and surrounding terrains

  • Stabilizing soft or marshy ground

  • Preventing landslides in erosion-prone zones

Step 4: Fishbone Drainage System Installation

The drainage system is especially important in areas like putting greens and bunkers. Proper installation ensures the turf is protected from waterlogging and remains in excellent condition.

Step 5: Irrigation System Installation

Install an efficient sprinkler system for optimal turf maintenance. Evaluate water sources, pump station capacity, sprinkler distances, and water pressure to ensure effective irrigation.

Step 6: Sand Spreading

Carefully select and spread sand to match the surface contour and elevation—particularly important in green zones for accurate leveling and turf growth.

Step 7: Grass Seeding

Most driving ranges in Vietnam use real grass for a more authentic experience, though artificial turf may still be used depending on project requirements.

Step 8: Standardized Grass Cutting

After 2–4 months of growth, the turf should be trimmed to the proper height and thickness according to international golf standards.
